Amphipod HHL Review
Working at a running store is awesome! Even though my first paycheck will end up balancing out my recent purchases…oh well! The latest thing I purchased was an Amphipod HHL (Hydraform Handheld Lite) water bottle. I was going to splurge (only $1 more) and get the 2o oz bottle but it’s so much larger and bulkier so I went with the 12oz. After first testing it out in the store, it took awhile to find the best feel/fit for my hand. The smaller bottle also felt more comfortable then the 20 oz. With an adjustable strap at the bottom of the bottle, it’s easy to find the right size and keep it that way. I have fairly medium sized hands and the strap was maxed out so a person with a larger hand might have trouble wearing it. The zip pocket on the back makes it super easy to access GU, ipod nano, or even money/ID for those after-run margs! The bottle is formed to allow good flow of water or an energy drink. The only things I don’t like about the bottle is the way the water sloshes around when I’m running (maybe a collapsible inner shell?) The zipper is also a little big for my liking, it knocks around and hits my thumb with every stride. But, with more focus on my stride, I’m sure that those issues will soon disappear.
Overall, a great water bottle and really helped give me the little kick I needed when I felt tired.

I found your running blog Randi!! Yay! Love it! So glad you came today…you did great!
